OVERALL ROLE:

Control, process, and maintain materials inventory and work areas to assure the efficient and successful distribution and processing of materials needed in the manufacturing process.

This is for the First Shift ( 6;30 AM to 3:00 PM)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ability to operate fork lift trucks and pallet jacks in an efficient and safe manner.

· Store completed production items and assure they are identified and their storage location is recorded.

· Maintain materials inventory to assure timely delivery whenever needed.

· Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.

· Assist staff and mechanics as needed.

· Inspect and maintain safety of lift trucks, pallet jacks, and all other equipment needed to perform the duties of the material handler.

· All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to lift boxes weighing 70 pounds.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for long periods of time.

· Ability to perform simple math calculations.

· Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and neatly.

· Ability to pass forklift training and hands-on test.

· Must be dependable, punctual, good work ethic, reliable, good communication skills, good comprehension skills.
