Key Account Manager - North EastAshland has an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager - Northeast US to join our Ashland LLC, business at NJ, NY or PA. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the PCHH (Personal Care/Household) function. This position will report to Commercial Director Americas.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:The candidate, ideally based in NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME will have responsibility for key personal care Key Accounts.May also have responsibility over a few smaller accounts in the region as well.The territory will be in the range of $10 Million but could fluctuate based on final account assignment.Writing business plans and preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.Collaboration with R&D teams to ensure project development at a customer level in moving forward as necessary.In-person meetings to understand customer needs, massage current relationships, and develop new ones.In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:7-10 years selling experience in the ingredients industry is required, focus on personal care highly desired.BS in technical field, chemistry, or biology - or equivalent years of direct industry related work experience (Personal Care/Household).Strong emphasis on R&D project development at the customer level.The ability to acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements through meaningful conversations, not just email and text.Strong account management and relationship building skills.We love relationship builders - collaborative and proactive partners to customers and colleagues will bring success to this person.A great passion for selling and winning in a team environment.Proven ability in problem-solving and strategic negotiation.Personality traits that include integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy, and a can-do, positive attitude.Highly self-motivated and able to work independently (after proper training).Must be able to write business plans and prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.Must be authorized to work in the US.See the beautiful Northeast US and meet your customers and coworkers as you travel up to 50% of the time.Ashland has a history of attracting the best people and keeping them.
