LABORER - HIGHWAY DIVISIONSTEELWORKERS UNION 15509$41,036.02 - $48,473.16Pay Grade 30Performs manual work doing a wide variety of semiskilled tasks in the construction, repairand maintenance of streets, storm drains, sidewalks, and other property owned by the City.Duties include pick and shovel work, jack hammering, raking, grading, sweeping, paintingcrosswalks, cutting grass and brush, shoveling snow, emptying trash barrels, erecting trafficsigns and participating in the City's snow removal operation. Auto Equipment Operator I,Auto Equipment Operator II, and Leadworker duties performed as required on a trainee oracting basis. May be assigned to Water Utility on an acting or emergency basis. Performsrelated duties as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Must have three (3) to five (5)years' experience performing manual labor in construction or related field, or any equivalentcombination of experience, education, and training necessary to perform the essentialfunctions of this position. Possession of a Commercial Driver's License, Hoisting EngineerLicense preferred.
