Make a difference in the lives of patients:
As a Dental Assistant, you will work with several dentists and dental hygienists and provide chair-side skills, observe, and apply infection control and laboratory protocols, and assist with basic principles of taking x-rays.
* Sterilize dental instruments in adherence to all licensing and accreditation protocols
* Prepare room and instruments for the anticipated/scheduled dental procedures.
* Prepare radiographs for viewing/diagnosis by Dentist.
* Assist Dentist with instruments and tasks at chair side.
* Assure operating methods and materials in the Dental Area are following OSHAs blood borne pathogens and hazardous material standards.
* Assist hygienists when needed.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Certification by the Dental Assisting National Board as a certified dental assistant preferred.
* Customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds
* Current certificate of completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or ability to obtain certification.
