This position is responsible for the proper service, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Responsibilities may include inspecting, testing and performing system installs in accordance to fire code; identifying code and system deficiencies to prepare accurate inspection reports.
Our ideal candidate will have a range between years experience working as an Apprentice up to an experienced Technician requiring no supervision. The starting compensation for this role is $30.00 per hour based on experience.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *
* Install or update fire alarms in commercial buildings
* Test and repair existing alarm systems to the prescribed standards
* Perform routine inspections
* Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers equipment as needed
* Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
* Inspect and maintain company truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation
* Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
* Maintain a clean and safe workspace
* Perform other duties assigned by management
*Education & Qualifications: *
* Must have a minimum of 1+ years' experience in fire alarm industry
* State issued TST License highly desired
* Experience with commercial systems preferred
* Troubleshooting skills
* Display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work
* Interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations without supervision
* Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments
* Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
* Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
* Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required
* Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
