Description:

A dynamic, Providence-based organization is seeking a Non-Profit Assistant Director to drive impactful youth development and juvenile justice initiatives. Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $47,000 - $52,000 per year (full-time, 40 hours/week).

Key Responsibilities of the Non-Profit Assistant Director:

  • Oversee and expand youth empowerment and juvenile justice programs, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and funding requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, interns, and volunteers, fostering professional growth and training opportunities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with schools, community organizations, and justice system stakeholders to enhance diversion programs.
  • Lead outreach, youth recruitment efforts, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training.
  • Advocate for youth initiatives and represent the organization in community networks and policy discussions.
  • Manage program budgets, grant compliance, and funding administration while supporting grant writing, reporting, and fundraising.
  • Assist executive leadership in strategic planning, financial management, and human resources, including hiring and team development.
  • Lead mentorship, leadership development, and restorative justice programs that create a supportive and inclusive space for youth to thrive.


Qualifications of the Non-Profit Assistant Director:

  • Minimum of three years of experience managing youth programs, juvenile justice initiatives, or nonprofit projects.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building skills to inspire and guide teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in budget management, grant writing, and program evaluation.
  • Deep commitment to social justice, youth empowerment, and racial equity.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
