SUMMER/SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

SPECIAL NEEDS CAMP SUPERVISOR

PART-TIME/SEASONAL

$18.00 per hour / NO BENEFITS

The City of East Providence are currently hiring part-time recreational staff for our 2025 summer programs to conduct recreation activities such as arts and crafts, sports, special events and day camp.

Mature individuals needed to oversee recreational programs for developmentally and physically delayed youth and young adult participants. Must be prompt and responsible. Duties include implementation and coordination of athletic and artistic activities; chaperoning field trips and special events; and assisting participants as needed. Responsible for coordinating transportation schedules and supervising subordinate staff. Provide for safety, order and must maintain discipline at all times. Work 25- 35 hours per week beginning June 2 - August 1, 2025, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age with some experience supervising and working with special needs youth.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

As a condition of employment upon hire, applicants will be required to obtain a criminal background check inquiry (BCI) with the RI Attorney General's office.
