Position: Architecture and Engineering Design Analyst

Location: Remote

Rate: $30-40/hr negotiable based on experience

Job Description

Under the leadership of the A&E Senior Project Manager, the Design Analyst will provide support to both the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in all aspects of the delivery of a project and program. They will collaborate closely with the internal stakeholders and external consultants, collectively responsible for all project-specific architectural and engineering design, drawings, documentation, and specifications (including architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and environmental). This individual will need a strong understanding of design aesthetics in order to drive decisions with our vendors as well as work closely with the team to develop and maintain the CVS standards.

The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in Revit and SketchUP, in addition to the ability to hand sketch. The candidate is responsible for design presentations, the review of millwork and shop drawings, and for redlining construction documentation. This position requires extensive cross-functional coordination, effective communication skills, and serves as a design resource for the business and our internal team. Candidates must have a strong background in architecture and/or interior design, possess exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and the internal CVS Health construction team. The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with ambiguity and show great attention to detail.

Position Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Responsible for ideation, sketching, 3D visualization/modeling through building 3D models, modeling design ideas/options, renderings, photoshop postproduction work.
  2. Create and design architectural solutions for projects ranging from Primary Care, Retail, Pharmacy Frontline, Sustainable Design, and other new initiatives/non-retail projects.
  3. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems with creative solutions.
  4. Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative/constructible solutions.
  5. Research and recommendations of options for materials/finishes and construction methods.
  6. Support data management, migration, and tool use such as Microsoft Projects/ Server (for scheduling) and TRIRIGA for overall project management support.
  7. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager, assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
  8. Coordinate project documentation, including drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate record-keeping and version control.
  9. Track design development project progress, milestones, and deliverables, and provide regular updates to the A&E Senior Project Manager and Project Manager and project stakeholders.
  10. Prepare and maintain project reports, presentations, and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Experience in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, and associated processes.
  • Proficient in Revit; BIM software.
  • Experience in systems and software including AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Adobe, Bluebeam, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
  • A strong experience in a variety of construction types and a good understanding of construction documents, specifications, materials, and processes are required.
  • Experience in reading and preparing Architectural & Engineering technical drawings and documentation of project design and construction document phases.
  • Excellent ability to conceptualize spatial designs and architectural brand imaging.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, design, and problem-solving skills as well as appreciation and sensitivity to architectural design intent and constructability.
  • Possess strong presentation skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Have a positive attitude with proven proficiency working collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently and with accuracy while taking responsibility for own work and the work of their team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Willing to travel 25%.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  1. Bachelor, or Technical Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Interior Design required or equivalent work experience.
  2. Professional License to Practice Architecture is preferred but not required.
  3. LEED Green Certification or other sustainability certifications is preferred but not required.
