Description

  • Maintain standards of quality guest service.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the guest services department.
  • Develop short- and long-term financial and operational plans for the guest service department that align with the overall objectives of the hotel.
  • Facilitate department meetings to ensure 100% communication across all hotel departments.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Increase guest satisfaction levels that exceed brand requirements and company averages by delivering an exceptional product through employee development.
  • Be directly responsible for hotel operations including guest satisfaction, front desk, housekeeping, and security.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted payroll standards for the hotel operations departments listed above.
  • Establish and maintain cost control systems for monthly ordering in relation to the budget.
  • Review the reservation process to maximize room occupancy and average daily rate through suggestive selling by associates.
  • Maintain and improve procedures for credit control, financial transactions, security of assets, and guest security.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, complaints, or questions.

Ability to accurately use various office and accounting software.

Requirements

  • High school education required; additional education preferred.
  • Experience leading both Front Desk and Housekeeping departments is required.
  • Physical ability to lift and pull at least 20 pounds, as well as pushing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Hearing, writing, and typing skills necessary.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel departments, functions, and applicable health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Exceptional mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to obtain required licenses or certificates in a timely manner.
  • CPR training is required; first aid training is preferred.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
