Maintenance Manager

JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a leading producer of fresh-cut fruits and vegetables and prepared foods in search of a Continuous Improvement Manager to join its team! The Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring operational excellence through hands-on supervision of plant equipment maintenance, technician development, and safety compliance. Responsible for driving uptime, performance, and equipment reliability, this individual will lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians while maintaining a continuous focus on food safety, personal safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical and electrical background, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for team development in a fast-paced, high-demand food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise maintenance technician activities across shifts to ensure equipment uptime and production efficiency.
• Lead equipment setup, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs in alignment with customer and operational needs.
• Drive the internal maintenance development plan to continuously build technician skillsets by machine type.
• Monitor team performance to meet production schedules, deadlines, and KPI targets (e.g., downtime, PM completion, machine spend).
• Maintain strict compliance with GMPs, SOPs, FDA, OSHA, and internal food safety and personal safety protocols.
• Oversee maintenance of facility infrastructure, ensuring adherence to cleanliness and organization standards.
• Train and mentor team members in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other industrial systems.
• Promote and enforce safety programs; ensure employee accountability for safe work practices.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and internal promotion within the department.
• Participate in hands-on repairs and provide technical guidance as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology or equivalent formal training and experience required.
• 5+ years of experience in plant maintenance and engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a maintenance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge in HVAC, refrigeration, welding, electrical systems, industrial equipment installation/startup, boiler systems, and wastewater.
• Demonstrated success in developing SOPs and training programs to improve technician performance.
• Proven track record of improving maintenance KPIs and operational reliability.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-variable environment with a hands-on leadership approach.
• Capable of physical activity required equipment troubleshooting, including climbing ladders and maneuvering around machinery.

Salary Range

• $155-160k
