Overview
Serve as a strategic partner in elevating class giving by helping develop strategies for the engagement of alumni in reunion and non-reunion years to increase participation and philanthropic support of the college with a focus on the Fund for Providence College (FFPC), PC's annual fund.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni reunion and non-reunion class fundraising campaigns consisting of key alumni, prospects, and donors, including members of the Board of Trustees, managed prospects, and other high-level donors. Formulate class giving and participation goals and provide staff support, leadership, and direction. Personally solicit unmanaged prospects, and in collaboration with colleagues, develop solicitation strategies. Record all meaningful interactions with prospects and donors via activity/contact reports within the expected timeframe, utilizing the CRM. (30%)
  2. Provide essential leadership and guidance to team members to maximize productivity, set performance standards, individual metrics, and routing evaluation of goals. Provide on-going training for staff. Organize, manage, and implement the steps necessary to ensure the successful completion of new and existing class-based or team-based programs, projects, or events. Serve as an annual giving/class giving representative on select internal planning committees. (30%)
  3. Lead the development, organization, and implementation of solicitation efforts for reunion and non-reunion classes. Execute targeted strategies for the engagement and solicitation of alumni in reunion and non-reunion years to increase Annual Fund support and college participation. Work collaboratively with class giving, alumni relations, and development colleagues on the identification and recruitment of key prospects. Design and implement reports, campaigns, and other resources to document, manage, and track solicitation and engagement using the CRM. (25%)
  4. Develop a deep understanding of the CRM and network of surrounding systems to maximize the utilization of each for increased efficiency. Oversee reunion and non-reunion data management to maintain and enhance data integrity and identify points of evaluation, metrics, and analyses necessary for the assessment and management of alumni donors and volunteers. Collaborate with Advancement Services to create and deliver reports and dashboards that monitor the health and performance of fundraising and engagement programs. Assist with the identification and resolution of data issues. (15%)
MARGINAL DUTIES:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Five to seven years of previous fundraising or similar experience at a university or other comparable organization, or equivalent professional experience in sales, marketing, training, or public relations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using a CRM database, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, management, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of college constituencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential prospect information.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Some travel required, as well as some evening and weekend assignments.
