OverviewThe , in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) at Providence College (also referred to as "the College" or "PC"), seeks to fill a clinical assistant professor position to begin in the Fall 2025 (i.e., August) semester. We are seeking applicants with teaching, research, and/or clinical practice experience in the health sciences. The successful candidate will coordinate experiential learning for the Department of Health Sciences and teach the required field experience and senior capstone courses taken by all students majoring in Health Sciences and Health Policy & Management (HPM). The successful candidate will also teach courses in their area of interest and specialization. Successful candidates will contribute department, college, and professional service according to the college's expectations of renewable contingent faculty (RCF). Candidates with a master's degree or an earned doctorate in health care management, health policy, health sciences, public health, or a closely related field are strongly encouraged to apply. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position will report to the Chair of the Department of Health Sciences. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level and will include the development, implementation and assessment of curriculum, student advising, and service to the college. The successful candidate will engage in outreach to community partners to develop field placement sites for students majoring in Health Policy and Management and Health Sciences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff at area health care facilities are essential.
