Job Responsibilities:- Oversee LSU Press Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram accounts- Write and post original social media content- Forward author and event social media posts- Schedule, coordinate, and host our Facebook Live series with authors- Develop broad-reaching social media campaigns, including advertising and sponsored content- Oversee the administration of these accounts (passwords, access, renewals, etc.)- Assist with The Southern Review social media accounts as necessary 75%- Draft and distribute the monthly LSU Press newsletter- Facilitate LSU Press blog posts- Coordinate with authors and LSU Press staff for original blog content- Coordinate the "Review Roundup" blog post in conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator, which showcases recent reviews, prize information, and other accolades 15%- Write and transmit press releases about the press via Cision- Write and distribute email announcements about new titles in collaboration with other Marketing Department staff- Other duties as assigned 10%Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeSpecific Experience:Professional experience managing social mediaPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English composition, or related subjectSpecific Experience:Experience in scholarly publishing is extremely desirable, as is proficiency across multiple computer programs/systems.
