Your Role

As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with software and test engineers to enhance service stability and quality. Your responsibilities include streamlining build and release processes, developing test infrastructure, and implementing test automation for Teradata Compute Engine products on public cloud platforms.

Who You'll Collaborate With

You will work within a dynamic team focused on the Teradata Compute Engine, a solution designed to drive AI innovation efficiently and cost-effectively in the cloud. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Proven experience in building, testing, and managing distributed software systems on public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in a Linux environment and experience with Bash/Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and web application development and testing.
• A genuine passion for software quality, troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of software and cloud service testing.

Desired Skills

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, or CloudFormation.
• Experience in containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL.

Salary Range: $111,800 - $167,700 per year. Starting pay will depend on geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate's knowledge and experience.
