Description:

The Central Falls School District is actively seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our student support team for the 20252026 academic year. This full-time, onsite role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact through psychological evaluation, intervention planning, and collaboration with educators and families.

Position Overview:

  • Title: School Psychologist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and recommend further diagnostic services when appropriate

  • Prepare detailed interpretive reports that align with district, state, and federal requirements

  • Assess academic, behavioral, emotional, and social development needs of students

  • Use evaluation data to develop and recommend individualized interventions and support plans

  • Work directly with teachers and teams to conduct formative assessments, interpret data, and build effective intervention strategies

  • Actively participate in Evaluation Teams and IEP meetings, ensuring timely scheduling and compliance with documentation standards

  • Manage and maintain case records and tracking systems

  • Support and coordinate Team of Qualified Professionals meetings for evaluations and IEPs

  • Collaborate with the MTSS team to design tiered supports and interventions

  • Provide expertise during school and district-level crisis response planning and implementation

  • Partner with school staff to share case-related information and strategize on behavior and academic interventions

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology

  • Valid Rhode Island School Psychologist certification or eligibility

  • Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and MTSS frameworks

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Experience in urban public school settings preferred
