Job Summary
Our client is seeking Phlebotomists to join their team. The primary responsibilities include working with patients directly to perform blood draws and ensure accurate labeling and processing of specimens. The position involves floating to patient service centers and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws from patients of all ages from start of day to end of day.
- Sterilize equipment and collect specimens using safety protocols.
- Utilize standard procedures for patient identification, labeling, and recording all specimen data.
- Confirm correct labeling for processing and preparation for testing.
- Work independently and perform phlebotomy independently.
- Valid driver's license required due to floating requirement.
- Open to medical assistants with high volume blood draw experience.
- Bilingual requirement, not restricted to Spanish.
- 1 year of experience minimum in phlebotomy or related field.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be willing to float to different patient service centers.
- Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
