Overview

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community. This role provides high quality home visiting services to vulnerable families in accordance with Healthy Families America (HFA) model requirements. The program partners with families to strengthen parent-child relationships, achieve positive child health outcomes, and improve family functioning. It ensures model fidelity and carries out required activities as set forth by RI Dept. of Health contractual guidelines. It assists with facilitating groups, community outreach events, and developing relationships with community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide home visiting services per the Healthy Families America (HFA) model requirements.


• Partner with families to strengthen parenting and child health outcomes; improve family functioning.


• Maintain model fidelity and perform activities per RI Department of Health guidelines.


• Assist with facilitating groups, community outreach events, and building relationships with community partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Human Services, Child Development, Education or related field.


• Minimum 3 years experience providing services to children and families or in a related setting.


• Experience with culturally diverse communities/families and demonstrated cultural sensitivity.


• Ability to work on long-term projects with appropriate motivation and minimal immediate feedback.


• Ability to provide services when families are available, including some weeknight or weekend hours.


• Working knowledge of state and community resources; able to impart this knowledge to families.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Bilingual English/Spanish required. Bilingual/ASL or multilingual skills may affect compensation.


• Current driver's license, registration and auto insurance.


• Compensation adjustments: Bilingual/ASL skills +6% above base pay; Multilingual skills +8% above base pay.

Continued Education

Attend additional required trainings as determined by FSRI, the RI Dept. of Health, and the HFA model.

Physical Requirements

• Travel to and from clients' residences and other locations; may involve stairs and elevators.


• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
