Overview:

Koolboks is seeking a Junior Operations Finance Manager with 2-4 years of experience to support the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in finance, with knowledge of French accounting practices, IFRS standards, and account consolidation. This role involves working closely with outsourced accounting and payroll firms, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, overseeing intercompany transactions, and assisting with budgeting and grant management. Koolboks operates across multiple locations, with headquarters in France and subsidiaries in Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement and Compliance:

  • Support efforts to improve financial processes, including AP and AR systems.
  • Develop and adhere to policies and procedures aligned with IFRS standards.
  • Assist in compliance with French accounting practices and organizational guidelines
  • Accounting software integration
  • Internalization of account processes

Accounting and Payroll Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison for outsourced accounting and payroll firms.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data for management accounts and payroll.
  • Coordinate variable payroll elements with accounting and payroll services.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

  • Process invoices, manage disbursements, and ensure accurate payment schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain AR aging reports, addressing delayed or non-payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure the timely issuance of customer invoices.

Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Budgeting:

  • Assist in preparing detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets.
  • Assist in financial grant reporting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Intercompany Transactions:

  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between headquarters and subsidiaries.
  • Resolve intercompany discrepancies in coordination with relevant departments.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 24 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Experience with French accounting practices, IFRS standards, and account consolidation.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Fluency in English and French (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with global teams.

Competencies:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Knowledge of financial grant reporting and intercompany transactions is a plus.
