Job Title: School Psychologist – Elementary

Overview:

Phaxis is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join an elementary school team in Central Falls, RI. The ideal candidate will provide psychological services to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development in a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success and well-being.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development.
• Support school-wide initiatives promoting positive behavior, mental health, and academic growth.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Valid Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MTSS, PBIS, and data-driven intervention practices.
