3rd Shift - Rotating Schedule: Sunday - Saturday - 11:00PM - 7:30AM, with 2 Days off a Week
$1.50/hr. Shift Differential (2nd & 3rd Shift)
External Candidate ~$1,500.00 sign-on bonus
Demonstrate proficiency in maintenance and mechanical activities to ensure equipment operates safely, effectively, and efficiently. Perform general, preventive, and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, modification, fabrication, welding, and overhauls of mechanical and electrical systems. Work with limited supervision, receiving guidance on complex or new assignments, and serve as a technical resource for less experienced employees.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment in accordance with all safety procedures
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performance
Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and work orders
Support installation and startup of new equipment
Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
Complete and document work orders accurately, timely, and in accordance with standard operating procedures
Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment safely
Communicate with operations, maintenance, and management regarding equipment issues affecting production
Maintain compliance with all company policies, GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and applicable regulatory requirements
Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with state and federal health and safety regulations
Support continuous improvement efforts and stay current with new equipment and technologies
Anticipate parts needs, follow purchasing procedures, and obtain materials as required

Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Trade or technical school training preferred (electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.)
2–4 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC), preferably in manufacturing
Experience with industrial equipment including material handling, motor/relay/process controls, lubrication, cleaning, and packaging systems
Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
Required certifications and/or licenses must be obtained as a condition of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret charts, drawings, specifications, schedules, and wiring diagrams
Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment to prevent failures and downtime
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment
Ability to work independently and assist with complex repairs and projects
Ability to plan and complete minor to mid-sized projects
Ability to identify process improvements and adapt to change
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Ability to perform basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
Basic computer skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English
