Manufacturing Process Technician (Nights)

We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Technician for our client, a renowned leader in biotechnology who is revolutionizing the use of living cells to create groundbreaking biologics. This role will work in a dynamic production environment supporting commercial, clinical, and product launch activities. Under general supervision, this role performs hands-on manufacturing operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance requirements.

Type: Contract
Location: West Greenwich, RI
Rate: $25 - $29.96/hr
Shift: Night Shift - 6:45PM - 6:45AM; Rotating Shift (Week 1: 5 working days, Week 2: 2 working days)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on manufacturing operations including equipment setup, operation, cleaning, and sanitization
  • Follow GMP documentation (SOPs, MPs, batch records) with strict adherence to safety and compliance standards
  • Utilize computer systems to monitor processes, enter data, and support manufacturing operations
  • Perform in-process sampling of drug substances and operate analytical equipment such as pH meters, conductivity meters, and BGAs
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and processes
  • Perform parts washing, sterilization activities, and buffer/media preparation
  • Operate or learn to operate an electric pallet jack
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and inspection-ready workspace
  • Work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE and gowning
  • Assist in reviewing documentation such as equipment logs and batch records
  • Initiate and support quality deviation reports as needed
  • Recognize and escalate potential safety or quality concerns
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, safety-focused work environment
  • Follow direction closely and adhere to all policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or GED + 1yr of relevant experience or AS degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent graduate with lab or manufacturing exposure
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Familiarity with GMP or other regulated environments
  • Experience using computers or automated systems
  • Experience with manufacturing documentation
  • Background in chemical processing, batch chemicals, or similar industries (biotech experience not required)
