Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required, of an individual assigned to this job. The Transporter transports patients to and from other units and departments. Other duties include but are not limited to:ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and assisting with ambulation of patients. Performs clerical duties for the Department utilizing telephone, computer and other hospital devices.Answers telephones using good telephone etiquette, greets patients and visitors in a polite and friendly manner and prepares/prints various records.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment

2. Transportation experience preferred

3. Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent
