Job Description: The Stacker role within the Distribution Center ("DC") at Ocean State Job Lot ("OSJL" or "Company") is responsible for merchandise put-a-ways, replenishment, pull combine, transfers, and consolidations while utilizing a reach truck and the radio frequency ("RF") scanner in a manner that meets established standards in safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all Stacker equipment functions including, but not limited to, put-a-ways, replenishment, pull combine, transfers, consolidations, full pallet pulls, stacking T-Racks, splitting and moving cases, and order picking.
• Scan all pallets to a location and to drop zones.
• Review daily audit trail.
• Consolidate pallets in an effort to save space.
• Locate and remove merchandise in warehouse racking. Order picking when necessary.
• Operate and conduct daily review of equipment and communicate any concerns or issues as necessary; coordinate with maintenance for resolution.
• Work in compliance with standard operating procedures in addition to state and federal requirements.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean work area to meet or exceed safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Work on special projects and high-priority projects as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1 or more years of relevant warehouse experience.
• Ability to learn proper use of RF scanner as well as safely operate stacker and reach truck forklift.
• Strong attention to detail as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills for a team environment are required.
• Successful completion of the Powered Equipment Training, Stacking Area Training Program, and the Associate Proficiency Test.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and achieve any applicable license.
• Ability to meet Stacking Area productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, and attendance standards.

Work Environment:

• Works primarily in a DC environment. The DC warehouse environment is characterized by temperature extremes, noise, movement of conveyors and equipment, and other conditions associated with the operation of a high volume distribution center.
• Responsible for physical activities including, but not limited to, using equipment, positioning self to properly complete tasks, ascending and descending to heights of twenty feet or more safely and without limitation as well as moving and transporting merchandise on a frequent basis.
• Should be able to lift and move fifty lbs of material on a regular basis.
• Should be able to bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.
• Must be able to remain stationary and continually move for up to ten to twelve hours per day depending on various assigned tasks.
