Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a permanent position in Coventry, RI. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. The goal is to improve patients' respiratory function and overall health through various therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay updated with the latest respiratory therapy techniques and practices through continuous education.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
