PART-TIME/SEASONAL HARBOR PATROL OFFICERS
The Town of Barrington, RI is accepting applications for two (2) Part-time HARBOR PATROL OFFICERS. Incumbents will assist the Harbormaster with the operation and management of the harbors and waterways under the jurisdiction of the Town of Barrington; will be responsible for the allocation and regulations of all mooring activities in Town waters including the oversight of mooring spaces, mooring applications, and mooring placements, fields, and permits; will also enforce the Town's Harbor and Management Plans and Ordinances; and enforce boating and safety laws. Work is performed outside in all weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED Equivalent; completion of an approved Harbor Management Course; Certification for basic CPR and First Aid; Knowledge of small boat nomenclature, and the Boating Safety Act, and Clean Water Act; Strong written and communication skills; Local Law enforcement experience and certification as a Police Officer is a plus.

Salary Range: $18.00 per hour - Flexible Schedule- 20-hours per week.
Season is from May until November.
