Job Summary Our client, a Rhode Island law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing team. This leader will play a key role and will set the direction for our team-oriented culture as we strive to exceed our clients' expectations by providing extraordinary legal care. What you'll be doing: · Personally handle a file load of personal injury and medical malpractice cases · Extensive client interaction, from intake through case resolution · Prepare demands and negotiate successful resolutions on behalf of clients · Attend and advocate for clients at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial · Independently research, interpret and apply legal principles in the context of motion practice and litigation · Attend and participate in weekly team meetings relating to the evaluation and advancement of injury and malpractice cases · Work collaboratively with senior attorneys in litigating complex medical negligence and serious injury cases · Active involvement in all phases of client representation from intake, initial office conferences, case development, demand, negotiation, and case resolution If you've got these skills, we'd love to hear from you · Client focused – personally demonstrated that both external and internal clients are a high priority by identifying, and responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner · Strong academic credentials · Advanced analytical skills · Strong time management skills · Strong writing and oral communication skills · Strong legal research and writing skills · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Fully licensed to practice law in Rhode Island.
