A Boat Greeter interacts with boaters to assist with detailed visual observations of parked motor boats, paddle craft, trailers, and associated gear. Greeter may educate visitors about aquatic invasive species, explain decontamination methods, and distribute brochures or educational materials. Greeters must operate handheld tablet to record data on boat traffic, boater interactions, and plant observations. Boat greeters must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. State Boat ramps experience high visitation during peak periods such as weekends and holidays, therefore weekends and holiday shifts are expected.Required Qualifications for Appointment:Eligible candidates must have reliable mode of transportation, and must be at least 16 years of age. Comfort engaging with the public, strong interpersonal and clear spoken communication skills required.
