SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM STAFF 2022PART-TIME/SEASONAL (9 week program)$13.00 per hourStaff assists with the operation of the free meals program that is offered to youth and teens aged 18 and under at selected locations throughout East Providence. Meal servers will comply with program, RI Department of Health, and USDA guidelines.The Summer Food Service Program Staff is a part-time position, up to (15) hours per week under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor. June 23 - August 26, 2022.Requirements: Candidates must be at least sixteen years old, attending or be a high school graduate or have a GED. Must be able to work outside and physically able to meet the requirements of the job. Experience with youth preferable.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Daily inspections of meal site and confirm proper procedures.Verify accurate record-keeping of meal components and delivery slips and make note of any substations/deviations from the day's menu.Review meal count sheets for accuracyDistribute lunches.Ensure all sites have adequate supplies and standardized forms.Assist with program advertising and outreachAssist with any Recreation Department activities with youth when needed.As a condition of employment upon hire, applicants will be required to obtain a favorable background screening with the East Providence Police Department.Apply online at: must be submitted no later than May 27, 2022 by 4 pm.At the City of East Providence we celebrate the diversity of our citizenry, and are proud to encourage inclusiveness in our workforce.
