The Java Developer will provide expert-level design and development support for cloud-native applications built with Java, Quarkus, and Spring Boot.This role focuses on modernizing and enhancing application services and serverless components running on AWS.The developer will serve as a technical advisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions following cloud and microservices best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance cloud-native applications using Java, Quarkus, and Spring Boot.Build and maintain serverless applications and functions using AWS Lambda.Modernize and refactor existing Java applications to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.Perform unit testing and integration testing for new and modernized applications.Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, cloud engineering, and other cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, including performance bottlenecks, using root cause analysis.Ensure solutions align with cloud architecture standards and DevSecOps practices.Document application designs, technical specifications, deployment steps, and operational runbooks.Communicate development progress, challenges, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members.Required Qualifications8+ years of hands‑on experience designing and developing cloud‑native applications.5+ years of experience building microservices and distributed systems using Java, Quarkus, and Spring Boot.Proficiency in developing serverless functions using AWS Lambda.3+ years of experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS/Aurora MySQL, and PostgreSQL.Hands‑on experience with Docker and containerized application development.Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, cloud security best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex cloud systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently in a remote environment.No travel required for this role.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience using GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity.Experience with CI/CD toolsets such as Bitbucket, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.Prior experience in technical leadership for cloud-native solution development.Understanding of event-driven architectures and API-based integrations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
