About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director of Student Supports (MDSS) to join their mission-driven team. The MDSS will be a senior, network-level leader responsible for setting the vision and strengthening the design, delivery, and sustainability of student support systems across the organization's schools. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the programmatic model is intentionally designed to help all learners, with a particular focus on students with disabilities and multilingual learners, achieve their personal and academic goals. The successful candidate will not be involved in day-to-day case management but will instead focus on strategy, systems, and people, creating the conditions for teachers and leaders to thrive through strong relationships, clear resources, and consistent use of data.Key responsibilities for the MDSS include establishing a clear, network-wide vision for student supports, advancing inclusive Tier 1 instruction, and maintaining and strengthening MTSS systems. The role also involves leadership development, school support, and cross-functional integration to ensure that student support systems are reflected in the organization's core structures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a senior leader in student supports, special education, or inclusive academic systems, and experience in leading at a systems level. They should possess strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead through influence. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree in education, leadership, or a related field. The MDSS must demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission, a dedication to addressing racial and economic inequity in education, and a collaborative, inclusive, and team-oriented approach.
