Under supervision and following established procedures, performs a variety of heavy cleaning duties in order to maintain the hospital in an orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition for patients, personnel, and visitors. RESPONSIBILITIES:Must have classroom and on the job training of floor, carpet, upholstery, waste disposal, operating room and chemical handling procedures and learn proper operation and cleaning of E. S. D. equipment. Shampoos carpets, upholstery and refinishes floors following E. S. D. procedures, using manual and motorized devices. Dusts high vents, lights, pipes, lockers, ceilings and washes window glass throughout the hospital complex using ladders or other safety devices.
