Clerk II-S- Elementary

The Clerk II-S- Elementary is responsible for providing clerical support to the school and the School Principal. The Clerk II-S reports directly to the School Principal. Essential job functions include general office duties such as typing, filing, initiating correspondences, copying, preparing purchase requisitions, answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, maintaining student information, processing tardy and dismissals notes, creating and mailing student records, preparing class coverage sheets, distributing payroll checks and daily mail, collecting timesheets, and performing other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include maintaining confidentiality, planning and organizing with an emphasis on detail, consistency, and accuracy, establishing a welcoming school environment, independently establishing priorities, effective prioritization and execution of tasks, attention to detail, sound decision-making, strong problem-solving skills, exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, effective communication, and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years' experience in a clerical/secretarial/administrative role, proficiency in working with computers, and knowledge of G-Suite and/or Microsoft Suite. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a school setting, using Skyward, using Munis, and being bi-lingual. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and walking frequently, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, and working in an office setting with potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
