In this role, you will set up and operate precision rolling mills to produce a variety of heavy-duty metal stock to uniform/precise thickness specifications according to work order requirements. You will work as part of a team, collaborating with other operators and skilled workers.
Monday - Friday 6AM-2:30 PM
Essential Job Duties:
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure the equipment is working properly and adjust as needed.
Feed raw material and inspect parts with precision and measuring tools such as various hand tools, finish slitter machines, micrometers, calculators, and related tools.
Must follow established company and department rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to priority changes and short notice activity.
Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior machine operating experience preferably in a metal fabrication facility
Excellent mechanical and logical thinking, able to do simple maintenance and repairs.
Attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Basic math ability and experience with measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc)
High School diploma or GED
Must follow all safety rules.
Must be able to pass a background check.
