This leader partners across Merchandising, Finance, Digital, Analytics, Marketing, and Supply Chain to enable informed decision-making and accelerate execution of Front Store initiatives.This role requires a strong ability to influence without direct authority, build compelling narratives, and lead end-to-end transformation efforts. The ideal candidate combines deep financial acumen with strategic thinking, process development experience, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment in a dynamic retail environment.Success in this role will depend on strong listening skills to identify key business pain points, as well as the ability to build trusted relationships that unlock measurable impact for both colleagues and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive Results Through DataTranslate complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendationsProvide proactive financial reporting and analysis to support business objectivesMonitor key financial metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities (short- and long-term)Enable data-driven decision-making across cross-functional teamsStrategic Planning & ExecutionDevelop and refine agile planning processes to support evolving business needsEvaluate strategic initiatives and KPI performance against organizational goalsNavigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively to deliver resultsDefine clear milestones, timelines, and accountability structuresInfluence & Change LeadershipAct as a change agent, driving transformation initiatives across the organizationIdentify and remove implementation barriers through collaboration and problem-solvingInfluence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership (VP/SVP)Build and deliver clear, compelling narratives to guide decision-makingChampion innovative ideas while balancing growth, risk, and cost considerationsCollaboration & Relationship BuildingEstablish strong, trusted partnerships across Merchandising, Finance, Digital, Analytics, Marketing, and Supply ChainFoster alignment and cross-functional connectivity to improve business outcomesPromote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountabilityPeople Leadership & CultureLead, coach, and develop high-performing teamsSet clear goals, expectations, and performance standardsFoster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance cultureSupport organizational well-being and team effectivenessRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or financial modeling5+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, competitive environment (e.g., retail, finance, consulting, healthcare, pharmaceuticals)Proven track record of influencing stakeholders with and without direct authorityDemonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and deliver impactful solutionsStrong verbal, written, and presentation skillsExperience working within merchandising or similar business modelsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointWillingness to travel approximately 10-25% as neededPreferred Qualifications8+ years of relevant experienceExperience managing large teams or leading significant business unitsStrong cross-functional leadership across diverse business areasBackground in consulting and/or business developmentAdvanced degree (MBA or equivalent preferred)EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience requiredPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
