Full time, every other weekend.
The Floor Tech assumes the responsibility for the cleanliness of the physical plant and facility environment. She/he is responsible for the optimal functioning of all facility housekeeping equipment.
Assures that resident areas are clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
Monitors buffer and vacuum cords for resident safety.
Monitors needed repair to facility equipment.
Follows directions of Environmental Service Supervisor and facility Plant Manager in all duties and responsibilities.
Assumes the responsibility for infection control within the facility at all times.
Assumes the responsibility for the prevention of the spread of infection to self and others.
Assumes the sanitation and cleanliness of housekeeping equipment at all times.
Assures the sanitation, cleanliness and organization of equipment storage areas and janitor closets at all times.
Assures that housekeeping chemicals are labeled correctly.
Assures that housekeeping chemicals are stored properly within designated areas.
Assumes the responsibility for the environmental safety of residents, visitors, and staff i.e. equipment, cords, wet floor signs.
Assumes the responsibility for the environmental safety with proper body mechanics procedures to be used in lifting and usage of heavy equipment.
Monitors housekeeping equipment repair.
Notifies supervisor immediately of any equipment failure.
Monitors condition of equipment cords i.e. buffers, vacuums, etc.
Assures that hallways and entrance are clear of debris at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing (vacuuming), pulling, carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requires wearing a backpack vacuum.
