Shipper

Work collaboratively with Customer Service and Warehouse personnel to ensure customer needs are met and that order requests or concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship materials to fulfill customer orders.
• Weigh and verify all material being shipped.
• Ensure compliance with customer shipping policies and procedures according to routing guides.
• Ship international orders and prepare customs paperwork as needed.
• Utilize FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping software for order shipments.
• Handle shipments of hazardous materials.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and customer complaint investigations.
• Perform material cycle counts and Quality Control checks.
• Maintain housekeeping and health and safety standards.
• Stock warehouse shelves with incoming materials and maintain warehouse organization.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse setting, including shipping.
• Proficient in using FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping software.
• Strong initiative and ability to tackle challenges.
• Teamwork skills with the ability to multitask, be flexible, and adapt.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Strong reading, comprehension, and communication abilities.
• Proficient in mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Physical ability to lift, pull, and manipulate up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with preparing orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift operation experience.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a small to medium-sized warehouse that is climate-controlled and well-lit. Be aware of forklift operations. The work schedule is from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CRANSTON, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
