Warehouse Distribution Center SpecialistNorton, MAJoin Our Team as a Distribution Center Specialist!Location: Norton Distribution Facility Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (occasional Saturdays during peak production periods) Compensation: $23-$26/hourHelp Deliver Quality Food Products to Customers Across the CountryAre you looking for a role where you can make a direct impact on the food supply chain? As a Distribution Center Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting the storage, handling, and distribution of Home Market Foods' prepared food products. Working closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, Production, and Customer Service teams, you'll help ensure product quality, food safety, inventory accuracy, and on-time deliveries from our Norton Distribution Center.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing and distribution environment and enjoys coordinating the movement of products from production to customer.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary communication link between the production facility and distribution center regarding inbound and outbound product shipmentsVerify inbound refrigerated trailer temperatures and cooling unit settings to maintain cold-chain integrity and food safety requirementsConfirm outbound trailer temperatures meet Home Market Foods' food safety and product quality standards before shipmentPerform and document facility safety inspections to support a safe, compliant, and audit-ready operationOrganize pick sheets, bills of lading, and shipping documentation for efficient order fulfillmentCoordinate dock door assignments and communicate with inbound and outbound carriersSupport readiness for third-party audits, food safety inspections, and customer auditsMaintain documentation including pest control records, forklift preventive maintenance records, and rack safety inspectionsMonitor and communicate short-dated inventory to Customer Service to help minimize food wastePartner with Quality Assurance to manage test-and-hold inventory and product release processesMaintain daily, weekly, and monthly distribution center KPI and operational reportsVerify staged customer orders for accuracy prior to shipmentCollaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and QA teams to support new product launches and item setup in Microsoft Dynamics 365Assist with sample order coordination for customers and internal stakeholdersSupport daily shipment processing and inventory transactionsPerform other duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree preferredExperience in a food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or supply chain environment preferredFamiliarity with refrigerated or temperature-controlled products is a plusKnowledge of food safety programs, quality systems, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), or HACCP principles is beneficialProficiency with Microsoft Office requiredExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or other ERP systems preferredBasic computer troubleshooting skills preferredBilingual Spanish preferredPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand, walk, and sit for extended periodsGood vision and manual dexterity requiredOccasional Saturday work may be required during peak production and shipping periodsCompany-provided PPE must be worn when entering production and food processing areasExposure to refrigerated storage and distribution environments may occurWhy Join Home Market Foods?At Home Market Foods, we're passionate about delivering high-quality, great-tasting food products to customers nationwide.
