Overview The primary function of this position includes but is not limited to assist with the receiving of inbound orders. This is a warehouse position responsible for unloading inbound shipments, conveying products to the receiving staging area, and breaking down product and separating product by specific item numbers.Essential Duties Operates an electric pallet jack (or other powered industrial equipment) to unload inbound shipments from trailers and convey product to the receiving area and warehouse aislesBreaks down and restacks product from palletsMaintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including, but not limited to powered industrial equipment, voice headsets, and personal protective equipmentPerform pre-trip inspections, and safely operate all powered industrial equipmentShrink-wrap product on the loading dockAdhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditionsMaintains and clean and safe work environmentOrganizes warehouse slots to prepare for selection by rotating pallets and fronting shelvesAttends all required company meetingsPerforms other related duties as assignedEducation/Training Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirementsMust have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)Warehouse experience preferredExperience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferredJob Knowledge and SkillsMust be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the jobMust have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)Must be at least 18 years of ageMust successfully pass a controlled substance screening testMust adhere to all safety practices and company policiesMeet or exceed established cases per error goalsAble to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environmentDevelop a working knowledge of the productWork Environment While performing the duties of this job, a Warehouse Associate will constantly work near powered industrial equipment and experience exposure to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working on concrete flooring. Duties will require working in varying climates. Temperatures range from below zero in the freezer to 95°F or above outdoors.Physical Requirements Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs up to 75 pounds unassisted. When lifting more that 75 pounds, a lifting device should be used, or two or more people may assistFrequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack palletsConstantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack or other powered industrial equipment, retrieving items from lower shelf areasSchedule: Schedule and shift time fluctuates with the operation's daily needsScheduled Hours: Monday through Friday (7:00am-3:30pm)Hourly Rate: $18.00#J-18808-Ljbffr
